The Demonstrators in NextG2Com

Within NextG2Com, Theme 6 consists of the knowledge centre’s demonstrators. Work within this theme aims to make the research and results of NextG2Com visible. How can the results best be showcased, and how can demos be used to integrate the different technology layers?

During three workshops on Theme 6 and demonstrators, participants discussed various aspects of the use of demos. What types of demonstrators would be most suitable for showcasing NextG2Com research, and where can the greatest benefit be gained from such technology implementation? Theme 6 currently includes three demonstrator arenas: industry, sea rescue, and the operating ward. Each arena was addressed in a separate workshop, where different ideas—from vision to concrete application—were discussed. Proposals and discussions were narrowed down to two to three demonstrators per area, with the goal of being able to showcase and implement all themes within NextG2Com in at least one of them.

The next step is to involve the doctoral students in the demonstrators in order to further develop the ideas.
